Using Chinese Boading Balls Help To Stimulate Acupuncture Points
Chinese Baoding Balls
You need to push one of the Chinese Baoding balls towards the palm with your index finger and thumb and push the other one towards the middle finger with your little finger and ring finger. Try spinning them in a circular motion, with each ball traveling along the perimeter, or keep one ball relatively still and spin the other two balls around the stable ball in the center. You are pushing it toward your pinkie as you rotate the second ball up from your pinkie and ring finger to the middle and index finger. One variation is to, inside one palm, rotate them counter clockwise and clockwise, using gravity to help you maintain control over them. Move each ball from your pinkie and ring finger up toward your middle and index fingers. Therefore when you push a ball down with your thumb, it automatically rolls to the end of your palm.
Stimulate Acupuncture Points
Your ten fingers are interconnected with the human cranial nerve, as well as important human organs such as the intestines, stomach, gallbladder, kidneys, lungs, spleen, liver, and heart. They stimulate acupuncture points in the fingers which are connected to organs like the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, gallbladder, stomach and intestines. According to the Chinese traditional medical theory of Jingluo, the hand contains a network of channels which circulate vital energy. Thus, when the meridians are stimulated, there is improved circulation of vital energy and blood in our bodies. In traditional Chinese medical theory, the Baoding balls work much like acupuncture or shiatsu massage.
The Larger Sizes
We now have sizes of 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, the most popular sizes are 40mm and 45mm in diameter. It is recommended that a person starts with a size that can be handled easily, then perhaps work up to the larger sizes. The most common sizes range from a diameter of 35mm to 55mm. The most I’ve gotten is it’s a “sphere within a sphere, and there’s a bell”, but I don’t want to cut one of mine open. The 35mm is small and is usually used by children or an adult less than 5’2″.
Heavy Solid Ball
The heavy solid ball has been replaced with a hollow, chrome plated steel version, usually with a sounding plate inside that makes chiming sounds when turned. Hollow balls are more suitable for therapeutic use due to their lighter weight. But when they are constantly touching there’s an annoying scraping sound plus light chiming. In that town, they are referred to as “Iron Balls” because they were originally made from solid iron.
